KFC launches new concept store

KFC ParramattaKFC Australia has opened a new concept store on Church St, Parramatta.

Located in the suburb’s food hub, the new dining experience is being trialled to appeal to the evolving expectations of urban, working professionals and offers a customised menu.

KFC Australia, chief marketing and development officer, Nikki Lawson, said, “For this reason we have reduced the menu to some core favourites and added a few additional items that we believe will hold appeal to this audience.”

New ingredients such as red quinoa, jalapeño sauces, basmati rice, and corn salsa.

KFC Australia has submitted an application for a liquor licence to provide a small selection of beer and cider to customers who dine in at the new concept store which would allow adult customers to have one drink per meal.

The company is not seeking liquor licences for any of its existing KFC stores.

If the Parramatta trial succeeds, KFC will look at opening a small number of concept stores in other urban style locations in Australia.
