Australian fast food chain, Eagle Boys Express, has begun serving its pizzas on board domestic flights of low-cost airline, Jetstar.
The food offering, developed specifically for on air consumption, includes Hawaiian pizzas which are available for customers to pre-purchase from an online menu, upon booking flights through the Jetstar website.
The move represents 12 months of development and research undertaken by the pizza company, culminating in the new corporate relationship with the airline, and the opportunity to reach new consumer markets.
“Passengers can now enjoy broader meal options during their plane journeys and the great taste of Eagle Boys Pizza in their seat,” Robin Heslehurst, brand manager, Eagle Boys Express, said.
“Our product for Jetstar comes in Eagle Boys Express branded packaging and airline staff are able to use existing kitchens on aircraft to heat and serve our quality product. We’ve provided a simple and effective way for Jetstar to enhance its menu and passengers’ journeys”.
