Crumpler’s Australian Open collection to feature Melbourne’s renowned laneways

Melbourne-based bag brand Crumpler will open a courtside pop-up space where they will release their 2020 capsule collection Crumpler X AO for the Australian Open.

The 18sqm space will feature the 10-piece Crumpler X AO limited edition, some of their  most popular pieces and preview of new season styles.

This year is the second time Crumpler has put up a courtside shoppable space to feature limited-edition bag collaboration with the Australian Open.

There are four limited edition colourways across six bag designs which take inspiration from Melbourne’s renowned laneways and artwork found on the tennis grounds.

The limited edition collection includes backpacks, messengers, totes, cross body, waist and drawstring bags.

According to Crumpler, the fabric colour palette has been thoughtfully chosen to reflect various elements of the AO surrounds.

“We are very excited to be collaborating with the AO for the second year in a row,” said chief executive Adam Wilkinson. “This wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing support from the AO team and the overwhelming response we received from last year’s premier collection.”

The limited edition Crumpler X AO range will be available for purchase at the Crumpler AO pop-up store located at Show Court 3 from January 20 to February 2 and a small quantity has been made available online at the business’ online store since January 13.

Last year, Wilkinson said their collaboration with the Australian Open is part of a long-term play to introduce the brand to international tourists at the Australian Open.
