Donut King to revamp stores, upgrade coffee offer

Australian donut cafe chain Donut King has unveiled a new store design, and is introducing a new coffee blend.

The company’s new look, which will be launched nationwide, features a bold colour combination of pink and black. Besides the new image, stores will feature “ new equipment, staff training, and store visuals to position Donut King as the go-to place for great coffee and Donuts all day, every day”.

“We know that while our traditional look has been iconic and made us stand out in food courts and supermarkets, a revamp is just what our stores need to match who we are now as a brand,” said Daniel Donnelly, marketing manager at Donut King.

The first new-style stores have opened in Townsville, Sunshine Marketplace, Bribie Island and Mann Central. More locations opening this month include Belconnen, Burpengary and Smithfield.

Meanwhile, Donut King has changed its existing coffee beans to a premium 100 per cent arabica coffee blend across its range.

“For nearly 40 years, we have been growing along with our customers and as your taste buds have changed, so have ours,” said Donnelly. “The feedback from those of you who were lucky to enjoy a sneak peek of our new blend say it’s a smoother, sweeter flavour and our ‘best bean ever’.”
