Zeus Street Greek will tap into the West Australian market, opening its 13th store on May 4 in Mount Lawley in Perth.

The store will feature a new generation store design, which Zeus said embodies the chain’s continuous evolution and ‘old meets new philosophy’. The bespoke fit out integrates art deco inspired geometry and shapes with a number of 3D finishes, countering the exposed brick work and raw stone finishes.

“True to our Hellenic heritage, we are always looking to extend our hospitality and grow our family, so heading west felt like the obvious next step,” said co-founder Costa Anastasiadis.

“The vibrant and cosmopolitan hospitality scene in Perth is continuing to grow and diversify at a rapid rate, welcoming new dining experiences into the fold. With a huge emphasis on quality and an adventurous audience, we feel our brand values align with those of Perth’s discerning culinary scene.”

The retailer stated the new store will be home to a high quality, customisable offering perfect for date night, a mid-week family feast, a quick post-workout meal and everything in between.

Zeus Mount Lawley will employ 35 local staff and customers will be able to choose to dine-in or take away, or order online, via Zeus Street Greek app or instore.

To celebrate the opening of Zeus’ first store opening in Perth, the QSR chain will host a charity launch event in partnership with Cord, a grass-roots organisation raising funds for spinal cord injuries. Cord is headed up by Jos Franciscus, a Mount Lawley local, lover of the arts, occupational therapist and someone who lives with a spinal cord injury.

“It’s an honour to have Cord chosen by Zeus as the charity organisation to launch their store with, here in my neighbourhood of Mount Lawley,” Franciscus said. “We love the social responsibility belief they embody as a business and of course their great food. We’re looking forward to welcoming them to the community whilst raising some much needed funds for the spinal injuries unit at Fiona Stanley Hospitality.”

Zeus will serve up free pitas and will donate $2 to Cord for every pita given away. One hundred per cent of the funds raised will go directly to the Fiona Stanley Hospital’s spinal injuries rehabilitation unit.

“These events are a way to thank the community for welcoming us, and an opportunity for us to give back to our community,” said Anastasiadis.
