Young Retailer early bird seats remain

NRAThe NRA Young Retailer of the Year awards is just over a month away, and early bird discounted tickets are still available until August 29.

The NRA Young Retailer of the Year competition, now in its 41st year, aims to showcase individuals of 25 and under, who are actively making a difference in their retail business, whether they are serving customers in a small corner store or managing accounts in the head office of a retail chain.

This year’s event comprises of a Future of Retail Forum, a daytime workshop where leading retail industry figures including Inside Retail’s Nati Harpaz and Service Skills Australia’s Karen Banks, will conduct interactive presentations, offering out advice on how to better equip young retailers for future challenges in the retail sector.

The gala dinner will be hosted by London beatbox champion, DJ, and Australian MC, Dr Rhythm aka Jonny Drama.

The awards ceremony will also feature General Pants Group CEO, Craig King, as keynote speaker.

The 2014 Young Retailer of the Year Winner will be announced at the conclusion of the dinner, to be held on September 26 at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, with the winner awarded a place on the 2015 Westfield World Retail Study Tour.

The Workshop and Gala Dinner are open to the public and friends, family, colleagues and stakeholders are encouraged to attend the event and support the retail sector and its rising young stars.
