Shoe retailer Ecco to open first flagship store in Perth

Danish shoe brand Ecco said it will open its first flagship store in Perth at Claremont Quarter on June 8.

The new 57sqm store will be Ecco’s 35th store in Australia.

The company said it wants to develop its retail portfolio in Western Australia following its venture into DFO Perth.

Jeff Karger, head of direct to consumer, retail, marketing and e-commerce, said they have seen great success through their wholesale partners in WA and said it was always their intention to expand there after the DFO opening due to the demand of full price and new season product.

“Our aim is to push for a balanced store portfolio, which includes brand building boutiques, suburban malls, street locations and outlets,” Karger said. “We were waiting for the right time and location and now we finally have it.”

Situated within the luxury shopping precinct, the concept store features minimalistic fixtures with an oak and grey colour scheme and will house Ecco’s premium collections.

Ecco has more than 2,250 monobranded stores around the world.
