Second brand for H&M

COSSwedish fashion powerhouse, H&M, will bring its COS fashion chain to Australia, just months after the announcement of H&M’s Australian debut.

COS, which stands for Collection of Style, is H&M’s second largest brand, having launched in 2007.

The first COS store will open at Melbourne’s The Strand, on Elizabeth St later this year. The first Australian H&M store will open at Melbourne’s GPO in Bourke St in the coming months.

The COS brand has a slightly older target market than the main H&M brand, with higher pricepoints to reflect this positioning.

There are around 80 COS stores across Europe and the UK, with the brand to also make its US debut this year.

The Australian store will be the first COS store in the  Southern Hemisphere.

Marie Honda, overall brand responsible for COS, said the company is looking forward to opening COS in Australia.

“Melbourne is a vibrant, cultural and exciting city which we feel will be the ideal setting for our first store.”
