Premier Investments changes board

meeting, business, boardroom, companyPremier Investments deputy chairman, Frank Jones, will step down from his role and retire from the board, effective from July 25, 2015.

Jones served as a chairman of Premier from 1999 to 2002, and again from 2007 to 2008, with his recent activity including involvement in the company’s Audit and Risk Committee.

Jones’ role in the company was integral in the selling of Premier’s substantial shareholding in Coles Group Limited, and the acquisition of Just Group Limited.

He will be replaced by current non-executive director of Premier, Dr David Crean, former Tasmanian treasurer and chairman of Hydro Tasmania.
