Luxury fashion retailer, Oroton, has appointed former Louis Vuitton China CFO, Vanessa De Bono, as its new CFO and company secretary.
De Bono has previously held senior financial positions in the luxury accessories industry including L’Oreal Luxury Group Australia.
Since 2005, De Boni has worked with Louis Vuitton, initially as finance director of Louis Vuitton Oceania followed by CFO of Louis Vuitton China.
Shares in Oroton slumped this week after it warned its half year earnings are set to fall by up to $3.5 million.
The company had already indicated its earnings for the six months to the end of January were likely to fall, mainly because of less discounting, the cost of starting up its joint venture with US clothing label, Brooks Brothers, and costs associated with the closure of a store in Hong Kong.
Oroton on Thursday said its underlying earnings were expected to fall by between $2.5 million and $3.5 million.
Oroton’s shares were 37 cents, or 9.6 per cent, lower at $3.48 at 1238 AEDT.
De Bono will take up the role in April 2015.
