New CEO at Service Skills

yasmin-kingYasmin King, former NSW Small Business Commissioner, has been appointed CEO of Service Skills Australia.

She replaces Jeanette Allen, who filled the role for 10 years.

King takes up her new position on June 17.

She was NSW’s first ever Small Business Commissioner, taking up the position in August 2011.

Prior to this, she worked as an accredited coach for Scotwork, associate commissioner at the Australia Consumer and Commission, and economics adviser to the South Australian Premier.

The Australian Retailer’s Association executive director, Russell Zimmerman, congratulated King on her new position.

“The ARA and Retail Institute have also maintained a strong working relationship with Yasmin King during her time as Small Business Commissioner for NSW,” he said.

“We congratulate Ms King on her new appointment and look forward to continuing a long and fruitful relationship.”
