Haigh’s to open more stores in Sydney and Melbourne

Haigh’s Chocolates is opening new stores in Sydney and Melbourne following a period of strong growth helped by a large factory expansion last year.

The first of the two new stores opened last Friday at Eastland, Ringwood in Melbourne, with the second due to open in early November at Westfield Miranda in Sydney’s South.

Haigh’s Chocolates chief executive Alister Haigh said the shopping centre locations cater to growing demand in Victoria and New South Wales.

“Our stores at Eastland and Westfield Miranda will provide convenient shopping for existing Haigh’s customers living and working outside of the city while also growing the brand to reach new markets,” Haigh said.

Haigh’s Chocolates is Australia’s oldest family-owned chocolate manufacturer and retailer, the Eastland store is its seventh in Melbourne.

“Eastland is managed by QIC, the same company that manages Canberra Centre, where our Canberra store is located, so they too know first-hand how popular our chocolates are,” Alister added.

Eastland general manager, Greg Balmforth, said he is thrilled to welcome such an iconic Australian-owned brand to the precinct.
