Country Road opens first pop-up store

Country_Road_Sydney_AirportCountry Road’s first menswear pop-up store has launched at Sydney Airport’s T2 Domestic terminal.

The lifestyle fashion retailer will house a curated range of apparel, including shirts, accessories and a denim collection. It will also include a selection of workwear targeting business travellers.

“We’re proud to deliver Country Road’s first menswear pop-up, exclusive to Sydney Airport,” said Glyn Williams, Sydney Airport general manager.

” The offering reinforces our commitment to deliver innovative and exciting retail concepts that excite customers and enhance the value and choice that we offer.”

The Country Road pop-up joins global fashion chain, Calvin Klein, who recently made its first foray into travel retail within Australia.

Owned by South African retailer, Woolworths Holdings, Country Road Group, suffered a 0.4 per cent drop in like-for-like sales while overall sales rose 5.1 per cent, in Australian dollar terms, in its most recent results.

The retail group said Country Road´s “above-market performance reflected the ongoing improvements to ranges during the year.”
