Beacon Lighting has entered a sole distribution and IP license agreement with GE Lighting for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Under the agreement, which will take effect from September 2015, Beacon Lighting has secured the wholesale distribution rights for the current GE range of lamps and consumer lighting fixtures.

Beacon Lighting intends to focus on broadening the range of GE branded products through further introduction of the latest LED lighting technologies and views the deal as an opportunity for continued growth by leveraging a trusted global consumer brand through multiple new sales channels.

This new business initiatives will operate as Light Source Solutions in both Australia and New Zealand within the electrical wholesale and other retail sales channels. The business will concentrate initially on revitalising the product range, improving customer service levels and providing competitive pricing across all sales channels.
