Ex-Pottery Barn VP to lead Petal + Pup in the US Australian womenswear label Petal + Pup has named Victoria Estella Perry as its new brand president. Ramsey said she believes Perry’s background and strong e-commerce experience make her “an excellent fit for the role”.
“Her expertise will be instrumental as we accelerate Petal + Pup’s strategic growth in the US,” Ramsey said.
Petal + Pup was founded in 2014 by Scarff’s daughter Tiffany.
Pizza Hut gets new chief digital and technology officer
Yum! Brands-owned Pizza Hut International has appointed Joe Park as its new chief digital and technology officer.
Park, who joined Yum! Brands in March 2020 as its chief innovation officer, said he had spent the past few weeks with Pizza Hut International president and CEO Vipul Chawla and his team to learn about the company’s mission and people.
“From my time with them, it’s clear we’re committed to accelerating growth by investing in culture, people and technology,” he said.
“I’ve worked for iconic brands but none capture my heart (and stomach) quite like Pizza Hut.”
According to Park, as an ‘80s kid, he loved the brand’s Book It! Program and earning his own personal pan pizza.
“Pizza Hut was a staple through college and now a favorite with my kids. It’s been incredible seeing the brand’s global growth to more than 11,000 stores in more than 100 markets during that time,” he said.
Prior to joining Yum! Brands, Park held roles at Walmart where he worked as vice president for associate digital experience and enterprise architecture, and General Electric as vice president and unit CIO for digital productivity.
Violette Serrat named new creative director of makeup at Guerlain
LVMH-owned Guerlain has named former Estée Lauder executive Violette Serrat as its new creative director of makeup.
Serrat, who launched her own makeup brand Violette_FR and is a former global beauty director at Estée Lauder, started the role on July 23.
“Guerlain is a Parisienne, right down to its fingertips. I’m so happy to be joining an iconic House with such a rich heritage, where I can pass Guerlain’s values in makeup on to a new generation and share it with those who, no matter their gender, celebrate beauty today and will celebrate it tomorrow,” Serrat said about joining the 190-year-old luxury retailer.
“My story with Guerlain is really the story of my femininity,” she said. “As a little girl, Météorites with its little pastel-coloured pearls for the complexion had a real aesthetic impact on me. I’d stare at the box fascinated, I couldn’t wait to become a woman. I pictured myself at my dressing table putting on lipstick, perfume and dipping a brush into these incredible Météorites.”
Serrat has collaborated with major houses since the beginning of her career. She was a makeup designer at Dior and more recently with Estée Lauder where she held the post of global beauty director.
Coty poaches MAC Cosmetics’ senior vice president
Cosmetics firm Coty has appointed MAC Cosmetics executive Constantin Sklavenitis as its new chief prestige brands officer effective September 6.
Sklavenitis, who held the role of senior vice president and general manager of MAC Cosmetics North America, will be overseeing all of Coty’s prestige brands and will report to the company’s CEO Sue Nabi.
“In his new role, Constantin will continue to strengthen Coty’s position as a worldwide leader in prestige fragrances and accelerate the recent milestones of our luxury makeup innovations, as well as build a skincare portfolio of complementary brands and the required global capabilities,” Nabi said.
“Constantin’s strategic approach to increasing consumer engagement and growing brand market share will be invaluable as we continue to make good progress against our key growth pillars,” she added.
