When visitors head to Life Instyle Sydney 2026 next February, many will share a common goal: Discovering the next breakthrough product for their retail store.
Life Instyle’s mission has always been to help reveal the “next big little thing,” explains exhibition director Nina Vidale. “The boutique brands, makers and designers shaping the next wave of homewares, fashion, jewellery and kids’ products.”
For exhibitors, many of whom are startups, the event is a launchpad. For visitors – from independent store owners to interior designers – it’s a discovery space.
The initiative reflects a broader shift at Life Instyle, a free-to-attend B2B event specialising in high-end boutique retail, scheduled for the ICC in Sydney from February 14–17. As the retail landscape becomes more complex, Life Instyle wants to offer something more curated, more meaningful, and more tailored to the needs of modern small and medium retailers.
“We offer a more curated selection of boutique brands,” says Vidale. “A strong proportion of Australian-made, often sustainable, and thoughtfully designed.”
Next year, over 70 exhibitors will be joining Life Instyle Sydney for the first time – a clear sign of the fresh ideas and emerging talent stepping into the spotlight.
“We’re a smaller show next year by design. We’re looking for the best new ideas when it comes to exhibiting brands for 2026.”
The Neighbourhood: Retail’s ‘Daily Ritual’
One of the highlights of the curated show floor is The Neighbourhood, a collection of brands invited specifically for how they embody the 2026 event’s theme: The Daily Ritual.
“So many of the products we feature speak to those intimate, everyday moments,” says Vidale. “Whether it’s the robe you wear after a shower, the skincare you apply in the morning or the book you unwind with in the evening – these rituals shape our day. We looked for brands that capture that feeling.”
Complementing it is the expanded Kids Instyle area with toys, textiles and children’s lifestyle goods, and First Instyle, a showcase for startup brands less than three years old. Here, retailers can meet young companies at the ground floor – often before they appear anywhere else.
Education for the modern retailer
Beyond product discovery, the 2026 event emphasises equipping retailers with the skills and insights they need for the year ahead.
Under the Retail Therapy section of Life Instyle, expert speakers, including CEOs, founders, business consultants, and leaders from She-Com, Instagram and Canva – will cover a broad range of topics, including consumer trends that will drive growth, future-proofing retail operations and teams, how AI is reshaping customer behaviour, practical, data-tracking essentials for accelerating e-commerce performance and a hands-on workshop on Canva essentials for small operators.
“People will get together, share thoughts and best practices, and learn from experts,” says Vidale. “We dip into many different aspects of the business.”
Life Instyle’s Institute of Style returns as well, a curated zone where design professionals offer advice on visual merchandising and retail styling.
Connection, counsel and curated discovery
In a zone called The Business Couch, experts who have collectively built, scaled, purchased and sold businesses will host one-on-one sessions with visitors. Attendees can book a session for free after registering for the event.
“They’re entrepreneurial people with years of experience, and attendees can talk strategy, operations, staffing, whatever they need,” Vidale says. “It gives small businesses access to advice they might not otherwise seek.”
Across the whole event, Life Instyle is about bringing together makers, owners and buyers who value something a little different, says Vidale. “It’s about connection.”
