Rebel and Adidas will raise funds for non-profit organisation Lifeline with the launch of a six-piece capsule collection designed by Australian artist Joel Moore, more popularly known as Mulga.

The collection will include a t-shirt, drink bottle, cap, soccer ball, high bounce ball and tote bag and feature Mulga’s drawings of surfing, sunshine, native animals and sport — elements that help improve his mental health.

Adidas will donate $1 for every sale of its product at Rebel from October 3 to 31. All money raised will support Lifeline’s mission to provide timely crisis support to Australians.

Customers are also urged to donate to Lifeline online and in any Rebel store nationwide throughout October, in support of World Mental Health Day on October 10.

“We’re continuing to see a significant increase in demand for Lifeline’s services across the board. The collab collection will not only raise vital funds to ensure we’re supporting Australians anytime, anywhere; it also highlights the positive impact that physical activity and sport can have on our mental health and wellbeing,” said Lifeline CEO Colin Seery.

Both Rebel and Adidas emphasised the importance of sports for physical and mental well-being.

“With the support of Adidas, this partnership takes this a step further – empowering shoppers to make a real change by donating to Lifeline and spreading awareness about the benefits of exercise for the mind and body,” said Gary William, MD at Rebel.

“At Adidas, we believe that sport has the power to change lives, including our own. The benefits of physical activity and the impact it has from playing sports and exercise grounds you and puts you in a more positive place,” said Steve Castledine, Asia Pacific GM at Adidas.

Rebel said that its partnership with Lifeline has raised more than $1.19 million in donations in the past two years.
