Westfield Chermside revamp scheduled to open mid-2017

Westfield ChermsideThe $355 million redevelopment of the Westfield Chermside Mall in Queensland is underway and is scheduled to open in the middle part of 2017.

About 95 new retailers are expected to open in the gallery mall and new dining and entertainment precincts.

The Scentre Group, owner and operator of Westfield centres in Australia and New Zealand, said construction of the Westfield Chermside Mall is progressing well and on track for completion in 2017 and initial interest from retailers has been strong for each of the project’s three components: the fashion galleria mall, the new restaurant precinct and the lifestyle and entertainment precinct. Leasing of mini-majors is also well advanced.

The Scentre Group recently unveiled the first stage of its Westfield Warringah Mall‘s $310 redevelopment which is scheduled to be completed late this year.

More than 25 new and returning retailers will open their doors in the area, including Banana Blossom, The Natural Butcher and Samjon Seafood.
