The Australian brand, Thankyou, released a short video this week asking consumers to pressure the retailers to stock its new products.

Thankyou, which is known for a water range that gives a slice of profits to developing international communities, is using the tactic to launch into food.

The 6.50 minute “The Coles and Woolworths Campaign” film by Thankyou, previously known as Thankyou Water, features its MD and co-founder, Dan Flynn.

“This is a huge jump to go from water to food,” he says, while introducing viewers to former Masterchef contestant, Callum Hann, who worked on the food range.

“We think that if Coles and Woolworths knew Australians were prepared to buy our range, the two biggest retailers would love to stock Thankyou,” he says.

“The key is showing them that the demand is there.”

This is not the first time that Thankyou has called on Australian consumers to pressure major chains before approaching the retailers to stock their product.

In previous campaigns, Thankyou asked Australians to submit videos of them showing support for its Thankyou Water to be stocked by 7-Eleven.

7-Eleven went onto become a primary stockist of Thankyou Water, along with retailers like IGA and Australia Post. It is not currently stocked by the major supermarkets.

Thankyou’s website says that every bottle of water sold provides at least “one month’s worth of water to someone in need”.
