Spy shop expands franchised network

OzSpy, the Brisbane-based retailer of security and surveillance products, is about to open its 12th store and is actively seeking more franchisees.

The newest store is in the Melbourne suburb of Frankston and represents what GM Craig Mitchell describes as an evolution into a national franchise. The opening coincides with the launch of a dedicated franchisee-recruitment site at www.ozspyfranchising.com.au

The company has also expanded its corporate team with the appointment of an experienced franchise sector executive Peter Fields.

“Peter will be responsible for building the group’s national network and also further improving our franchisee training and systems” Mitchell said.

“Our corporate team is expanding to assist with the franchise’s growth, our sales are steadily increasing despite the economic uncertainty, and just three weeks ago another one of our existing franchisees purchased his second store.

“He has taken over what was a previously average performing store in Cairns and already the store has taken off.”

OzSpy now has two franchisees in the group that have purchased a second store and five stores owned by ex employees.
