Australian fast food chain, Pizza Capers, has been awarded the QuickService Restaurant of the month, in the Roy Morgan customer satisfaction awards.
The award is the second major win for Pizza Capers this year, following the company’s Canstar Blue award win in May, which saw the franchise claim best tasting pizza in the country for the fifth consecutive year.
The company says the award reflects its long held emphasis on customer service, and commitment to producing high quality gourmet products.
“Winning Roy Morgan’s Customer Satisfaction Award illustrates our increased focus on the service that we offer our customers and recognises our franchisees and their staff, and their commitment to providing customers with a high quality, consistent product experience,” said Suzie Wing, brand marketing manager, Pizza Capers.
Competition remains tough however, with second place separated by less than one per cent, taken by Crust Gourmet Pizza.
The findings show that a high satisfaction rating is not necessarily correlated with high foot traffic, where most of the chains at the lower end of the satisfaction spectrum tend to attract a far greater number of customers in an average four week period than the higher rating chains.
McDonald’s attract 5.7 million Australians in an average four weeks, making it more popular than any other fast food chain, yet it received the lowest customer satisfaction score of the businesses measured for the category of the customer satisfaction awards.
Meanwhile, Pizza Capers, Crust Pizza, La Porchetta, and Fasta Pasta, are much smaller scale affairs, each serving fewer than 400,000 customers in an average four weeks.
The Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award recognises Australia’s top businesses in customer satisfaction based on a survey of more than 50,000 consumers annually as well as more than 12,000 business decision makers annually.
