New leader for Appliances Online

Appliances onlineJames Fleet has been appointed CEO of Appliances Online, effective immediately.

Fleet is formerly Appliances Online’s chief marketing offficer.

John Winning, CEO of the Winning Group, previously held the role, and in his newly elevated position overseeing the Group will remain actively involved with the Appliances Online business.

“The Winning Group is continuing to experience double digit sales growth. As such, James’ appointment will enable me to step back from the day to day operation of Appliances Online and maintain a high level focus fundamental for the future direction of the Group as a whole,” said Winning.

“It is crucial for us to continue to innovate, stay ahead of the curve, and uphold the high level of service our customers have come to expect when shopping with us.

“James worked with me on the original model for Appliances Online 10 years ago, and also helped me build our very first website. I know we share the same vision for the company and I am confident he has the right insight and experience to lead the company to further success,” he said.

Fleet joined Appliances Online in 2009 as marketing director. He has more than 12 years experience working across travel, finance, appliances & electronics, including Westpac and Compare the Market.

For the past two years James has held the position of Appliances Online chief marketing officer. In this role he has managed Appliances Online’s marketing, user experience, technology ,and sales teams. He also led Appliances Online’s first social media strategy, including its early adoption of Facebook, and spearheaded the online retailer’s first above the line marketing campaign.
