Fashion success stories

Fashion exposed Aug 14The collapse of several iconic fashion labels this year has left the Australian retail industry reeling, but it’s not all doom and gloom.

The Fashion Exposed Business Breakfast, part if the Fashion Exposed conference, will reveal several fashion success stories that have gone largely unnoticed, with Australian labels Ixiah, Christina Exie, and Bronx & Banco to join a panel discussion.

Topics to be covered at the breakfast include:
What is the make up of your ideal customer, and how do your designs appeal to him/her?

What are the best ways to expand a fashion business in this economic climate?

With the current retail climate how do your designs change creativity vs practically to appeal to the changing customer?

The breakfast will take place from 8:30m to 10am on August 18, at Sydney Showground, Olympic Park, with tickets $30 each.

On top of the Business Breakfast, Fashion Exposed has introduced a Visual Merchandising Interactive Workshop to teach retailer  how to work more creatively and add value to their business.

In partnership with Belle Flaneur, director and Tafe Sydney Institute, Natalie Coulter will host two free 30 minute sessions each day of the show. Visitors will have the opportunity to collaborate with Natalie and Tafe students at various work stations to create something to be used in a VM store or window display using the Steampunk theme.

Fashion Exposed takes place at Sydney Showground, from August 16 to 18, and is co-located with the Australian Shoe Fair.
