The Australian dollar has risen slightly Monday and is buying 73.97 US cents at 0830 AEST, up from 73.60 US cents on Friday.

One Australian dollar buys 82.295 Japanese yen, from 82.217 ; 63.95 euro cents, from 63.58 ; 56.86 British pence, from 56.59 ; 109.66 NZ cents, from 109.46.
