The Australian dollar has fallen overnight to 73.60 US cents from 73.98 US cents on Thursday.

One Australian dollar also buys 82.70 Japanese yen, from 83.48; 62.22 euro cents, from 63.66; 56.56 British pence, from 56.71; and 109.13 NZ cents, from 109.35.
