US smoothie chain Jamba is landing in Australia with its first two stores opening this month.
The first outlet will open its doors mid-to-late November at Melbourne Central. A second store is scheduled for the Sunshine Coast later this month, and there are plans to extend the footprint to Sydney.
Formerly called Jamba Juice, the American business is owned by Focus Brands which includes the hot cinnamonroll chain Cinnabon and the pretzel chain Auntie Anne’s in its portfolio.
There are 768 Jamba outlets across the US, and stores in The Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
Franchisee Newford QSR Group will head up the new Melbourne store. Newford QSR also operates Cinnabon in a number of Queensland locations.
Danny Cheung, managing director of Newford QSR Group, said “Jamba is a brand that’s adored worldwide. I’m absolutely thrilled to bring the people of Australia a oneof-a-kind experience with our smoothies, juices, bites, iced delights, and mouth-watering bowls.”
Jamba offers a diverse menu from a belgian waffle and an egg bake, to an oatmeal breakfast and parfaits.
It has four categories for its Whirl’d smoothies: Classics, Greens, Power and Indulgent menu items.
