Australian business Funlab will unveil its second US site for minigolf concept, Holey Moley Golf Club in late March.
Holey Moley made its US debut in Denver in September 2023. The company has plans for new sites in Houston and San Francisco later this year.
The 500-person capacity Holey Moley Austin includes three golf courses inspired by iconic moments and pop culture.
The venue will feature function spaces and a private karaoke room. An outdoor area for live music, entertainment and al fresco dining is also included.
Holey Moley’s Austin, Texas venue will be the first brandbuilt and designed location in a fully renovated heritage site.
Blaise Witnish, Funlab USA CEO said “Austin is a natural fit for our irreverent Holey Moley concept. The city is a desired destination and full of vibrant energy. Austin plays host to major annual city-wide events, is home to a thriving collegiate and business community, and its residents and visitors know how to have a good time.
We’re thrilled to bring our unparalleled entertainment experience, and over-the-top venue to the people of Austin.”
US-based global private equity business TPG, which has a hugely diverse portfolio, has invested in the Funlab business.
Funlab operates 45 venues across its entertainment brands: Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, B. Lucky & Sons, Holey Moley Golf Club, Juke’s Karaoke, La Di Darts, Red Herring Escape Rooms, Strike Bowling, and its newest brand, Hijinx Hotel.
Funlab employs 2500 staff.
