Watch retailer Time+Tide has opened its latest concept store in Australia, featuring more than ten emerging independent watch brands and microbrands.

The 170-sqm store comprises the entire street side of Level 1 of Pleasance House in Melbourne’s Paris-end and has a 19th century-inspired area.

It includes floating bars, a podcast zone for live productions, a 150-inch super screen, an event stage, and a reception room featuring high-end watch brands like TAG Heuer.

“This is not a pivot, but an organic extension of Time+Tide’s brand and business. Actions speak louder than words, and for years we have provided a refreshingly open-minded take on watches,” said Time+Tide’s founder, Andrew McUtchen.

“Now we can make it all real, with a space that is as welcoming, sophisticated and exciting to explore as our content has been for the last decade. They say you should ‘be the change you want to see in the world’. This is literally the watch destination of my dreams – and every single brand in it is one I believe in and stand behind.”

The store introduces a range of independently owned brands including Studio British brands Studio Underd0g and Fears, French brand Baltic and Swiss-made Norqain, Zodiac, Hamilton and Mido, along with Bausele.

British luxury watch brand Bremont also joined the Melbourne precinct in July.
