Woolies given green light for IGA stores

The competition watchdog will not oppose Woolworths’ acquisition of three Supa IGA supermarkets in Queensland. 012

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) on Thursday said the acquisitions would not result in a substantial lessening of competition.

The properties are at Banksia Beach on Bribie Island, Rasmussen in Townsville and Riverside Gardens, also in Townsville.
