Officeworks launches 3D Experience Centre

unnamed-18Officeworks has launched its first 3D Experience Centre at its newly opened Russell St store in Melbourne.

Officeworks head of technology, Toby Watson, said the introduction of its 3D Experience Centre is continuing proof of the retailer’s commitment to offering Aussies the latest in technology.

“Officeworks is really pleased to provide consumers with unprecedented access to this innovative technology, taking them on a new and unique journey, which we believe presents a huge opportunity for professionals, students and tech lovers alike,” Watson said.

The 3D Experience Centre offers 3D printing and also has 3D products such as pre-printed 3D models, as well as a range of 3D hardware and consumables available to purchase.

The Centre has also introduced a ‘Mini Me’ 3D photo booth that scans customers to then print lifelike miniature models.

“Going beyond the novelty factor, 3D printing opens up a world of creativity and stretches the limits of design. In terms of what next from here, we’ll be led by the uses that our customer’s see and we’ll expand and evolve with that in the future,” Watson said.
