Swedish fashion giant, H&M, will open its Australian flagship in Melbourne’s GPO on April 5.
The fast fashion retailer confirmed the store’s opening date via its Facebook page, “Save the date! We are proud to announce that on April 5 we are opening our much anticipated first store at the iconic Melbourne’s GPO!”
The store will be one of its biggest in the world, occupying three floors and almost 5000sqm of the heritage listed GPO building.
The announcement comes just a few days after H&M launched a dedicated website for the Australian market.
The non transactional website features its latest women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, as well as the fashion retailer’s homewares line, H&M Home. The website also features its fashion and lifestyle blog, H&M Life. The website it expected to make online purchases available once the flagship opens.
H&M has more than 2900 stores across 51 markets.
