Australian fashion retailer, Decjuba, has opened the doors to its 60th store last week at Eastgardens in New South Wales.
The opening of the retailer’s 60th store marks a milestone for the company’s growth strategy driven by Tania Austin, owner and CEO.
Earlier this year, Austin said the retailer had a strong growth strategy rollout taking place “and the expansion blueprint will mean that in the first six months of 2016, we will have cut the ribbon in, at least, seven new locations.”
Decjuba opened 14 locations across Australia and New Zealand in 2015, strengthening its retail footprint to 48 stores.
According to Austin, since purchasing the company in 2008, the company has kept a strong customer focus at the heart of the brand’s expansion strategy, which can be attributed to the retailer’s successful growth across Australia and New Zealand.
“We are focused on delivering on our brand philosophy that promises edginess and effortless, as well as creating an amazing, instore experience,” said Austin.
Austin stated this philosophy also extends to the retailer’s ever-growing online store that fulfills international demand.
As part of Decjuba’s investment, the brand recruited a store development director to focus on retail expansion mid-last year, and it has since opened, on average, a store every fortnight.
“This is such an exciting time in retail – the international players keep us on our toes, online innovation and integrating that with our in-store brand experience is paramount, yet one thing always remains the same – the customer is always central to where we take the brand and what locations we build into our portfolio,” Austin earlier said.
