The first Legoland of its kind in the southern hemisphere will open in the newly developed Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne by autumn this year.
The 2,800sqm Legoland Discovery Centre indoor attraction, which will include Lego sculptures and play zones, will also include rides, special party rooms for birthdays and other celebrations, a 4D cinema, and ‘Miniland’.
According to Angus McNaughton, Vicinity Centres CEO and managing director, once the Legoland Discovery Centre opens this year, it will take Chadstone’s offer to the next level and will further add to the centre’s appeal.
Chadstone’s $660 million development will be completed by the middle of this year and upon completion, the centre will feature close to 600 retailers, including luxury designer stores and international retailers.
Over 60 new retail stores, two new dining precincts and a new state-of-the-art Hoyts cinema complex opened late last year after the centre completed the first phase of the development.
