Rebel Sport operator Briscoe Group has lifted sales by 2.9 per cent to $NZ167.4 million ($A155.84 million) in its fourth quarter despite tough trading conditions that led to aggressive discounting.
Homeware sales rose just over one per cent to $NZ113.1 million while sporting goods sales lifted seven per cent to $54.3 million for the 13 weeks ended January 25.
That resulted in unaudited sales for the year of $NZ507.1 million, an increase of 4.9 per cent, mainly led by a boost in revenue from Rebel Sports. On a same store basis, group sales for the year rose 4.8 per cent.
