The Australian dollar has improved, buying 70.80 US cents from yesterday’s 70.54.

One Australian dollar buys 79.99 Japanese yen, from 80.33 ; 61.61 euro cents, from 61.26 ; 54.09 British pence, from 53.77 ; 109.75 NZ cents, from 109.56.
