The Australian dollar has jumped slightly, buying 71.80 US cents from 71.63 US cents on Wednesday, though still below the six-week high of 71.93 US cents .

The dollar remained flat at $1.06 New Zealand dollars, and 63 Euro cents, though fell to 4.802 Chinese yuan renminbi from 4.808,

The local currency also grew to 80.4 Japanese yen from 80.3, and 55 British pence from 54.9 pence.
