WA shopping centre revamp commences

Building works are well underway on the centre’s new dining precinct, which is being created adjacent to the existing 10-screen cinema complex, while work has work has begun on the new fresh-food area and a new Coles supermarket.

In addition, car park upgrades are in progress to deliver additional bays, improve traffic flow and lighting while increasing the number of shade trees onsite.

During February, all existing malls will be refurbished, including new lighting, ceiling and columns treatments, and a modern new look externally.

“Not only is Belmont Forum an important asset within the Perron portfolio, it has been a pillar within the local community for over 40 years and will continue to evolve to deliver a revitalised shopping and lifestyle experience”said Ross Robertson, CEO, Perron Group.

The new dining precinct is due to open in April and will feature a selection of six restaurants and alfresco area.

“Set to become Belmont’s newest social meeting place, this colourful new dining precinct will be a vibrant addition to the centre,” said Robertson.

The newest format Coles supermarket will have the latest features, according to Coles state GM, Mark O’Connor

“Offering a much broader range of products than our existing store, the new Coles at Belmont Forum will be proud to continue to deliver great value and serve the local community,” he said.

“The new Coles at Belmont Forum will replace our existing store and create additional jobs locally.”

Belmont Forum’s redevelopment project is scheduled to be complete by mid- 2018.
