Mid Valley Shopping Centre, which is located in Morwell, southeastern Victoria, has completed stage one of the multi-million-dollar redevelopment launched in November 2018. A 1200sqm Cotton On Mega store was opened this April, followed by a 500sqm Kaisercraft store in June and a 500sqm Rivers store in August. Discount department store Dimmeys has also joined the refreshed retail mix. The redevelopment project is expected to generate more than 50 jobs during construction and approximately 4
tely 40 new retail roles by completion over the next five years. The Cotton On Mega Store, Kaisercraft and Rivers are all new to Morwell.
The next stage of the redevelopment project is a million-dollar-plus refurbishment of the centre’s existing Village Cinemas. Commencing early this month and due to be completed in time for the summer blockbuster period, this major redevelopment will include a complete refurbishment of the foyer and public areas, a new candy bar with bespoke hot food offerings, and premium seating with more leg room.
Since the early 1990s, the centre has been owned by the Juilliard Group of Companies.
