Westfield’s annual breakfast series will take place in November, with four international and local retail marketing experts to give their perspective on the future of retail for 2014 and beyond. The breakfast series – The Future is Coming, Ready or Not – will visit five Australian and New Zealand cities, with speakers to include Steve Brown, Intel chief evangelist and futurist, US; David Roth, CEO The Store, UK; Jamie Gutfreund, chief strategy officer, The Intelligence G
roup, US; and Jon Bird, chairman IdeaWorks ANZ, Australia.
Steve Brown will address the topic Computing Changes Everything, presenting a unique perspective on where technology is taking retail. From intelligent shelves to holographic displays, Brown will share his views on how computing is changing everything.
David Roth will focus on how History Shapes the Future, and will explain how the past is a powerful predictor. Roth will also address continuing disruption in retail – he believes there will be more change in the next 10 years than the last 50.
Jamie Gutfreund will look at What Gen Y Really Wants. In an increasingly digital world, it has never been easier to reach consumers, yet it has never been more challenging to engage them. She will share recent research and an overview for how to capture the attention and loyalty of young shoppers.
Jon Bird will talk about The Changing Retail Brandscape and share the best and most inspiring case studies and experiences. In his presentation, he will showcase highlights from the 2013 Westfield World Retail Study Tour and unveil new research which illustrates how technology brands are altering the brandscape.
