The index gives a quick overview of retail statistics in four key categories; fashion and accessories, furniture and homewares, sporting and recreational, and other. Key retail statistics are shown weekly, with yearly comparisons available. The lead up to Christmas is continuing to provide retailers with positive gains across most retail sectors. Overall retail sales were up by 1.03 per cent compared to the previous week. This is on the back of
