He has more than 15 years’ experience in leadership roles at global brands, including Everlast, Lonsdale and Disney. According to a statement from the 75-year-old brand, Santamaria’s role is “to fix, reset a
, reset and grow Seafolly” while also exploring local and international expansion opportunities. Seafolly has just emerged from voluntary administration and has returned to former owners L Catterton.
Mark Teperson jumps ship to Afterpay
Teperson ‘hangs up sneakers’ at Accent for Afterpay
Former Accent Group head of digital Mark Teperson (pictured) has just taken on the new role of chief strategy officer at Afterpay.
“Leaning into my passion for the consumer and relentless pursuits of excellence, I am bursting with excitement to join this powerhouse team, leading a global movement of ‘fairness and financial freedom for all’,” Teperson wrote in a LinkedIn post over the weekend.
Teperson previously worked at footwear retail company Accent Group for 11 years, where he led the business’ omnichannel strategy and digital business. Earlier this year, he was named Australia’s leading e-commerce professional in Internet Retailing’s Top 50 People in E-Commerce 2020 report.
Through Teperson’s leadership this year, Accent Group’s sales underwent “a seismic shift” towards e-commerce, as described by CEO Daniel Agostinelli. The company reported that online orders grew from an average of $200,000 per day in April to between $800,000 and $1 million per day in June. In May, the business enjoyed its biggest month of digital sales ever with $29 million.
Winning promotes Devery
Winning Group has announced the appointment of Jo Devery as CEO of Winning Retail. Devery has been with the company for almost seven years, most recently as chief operating officer. She previously held senior management positions with Lux Group, Big W, Kmart, Myer and Pacific Brands in Australia and Asia.
