Former AusPost exec takes on role as Coles CTO Former Australia Post exec, John Cox, is taking up a role at Coles as chief technology officer. Cox was previously AusPost’s executive general manager of transformation and enablement. Cox is just one of several senior leaders at Australia Post who have departed from the company recently, which The Australian described as “a mass exodus”. Two of the former employees have left to join former CEO Christine Holgate at Global Express –
#8211; Michael Oates, former manager of mail services and Holgate’s former assistant, Vicki Ballantyne.
Meanwhile, AusPost’s general manger of customer solutions and partnerships Claire Burke is set to leave the company after almost 10 years and Michelle McNally, general manager of property is returning to her former employer, ISPT Super Property. Chief risk officer Claire Hamilton is leaving for a similar role.
New Australia Post CEO Paul Graham is set to begin his role in September.
Redbubble boosts executive team
Global independent art marketplace Redbubble has just welcomed on board chief product officer Nicole Brolan and Stacey Wallace as chief supply chain officer

The business has experienced significant growth in the last year and bringing such high calibre talent will support the continued execution of our strategic ambitions and further our growth potential,” Redbubble Group CEO, Mr Michael Ilczynski said in a statement.
“Their addition means that six of my eight direct reports identify as female, reflecting our diversity objectives and the Redbubble customer base where approximately 65 per cent identify as female.”
Prior to joining Redbubble Brolan was executive general manager at Xero and at Seek, where she held a variety of product, sales and commercial roles for 15 years. Meanwhile, Wallace was previously at Amazon for 14 yars, where she was most recently director of supply chain and operations for Amazon Go. She also held leadership roles in Fulfillment by Amazon, Kindle, and Amazon Fresh.
The father of luxury retail in the Philippines, Benny Tantoco, passes away
Bienvenido R Tantoco Sr, co-founder of the Philippine luxury retailer Rustan Group of Companies, died earlier this month. The firm made the announcement on July 8.
Tantoco, who pioneered luxury retail in the Philippines with his wife Gliceria Rustia-Tantoco in 1952, with their first store opening in San Marcelino Street in Manila, earned the moniker “the father of luxury retail in the Philippines.”
The entrepreneur also served as Philippine ambassador to the Vatican in 1983 before resigning from his post in 1986 after the People Power Revolution.
Tantoco’s family described him as a loving father and that he “lived his best life”. Tantoco was 100 years old.
At its peak, Rustan’s introduced Philipino consumers to high-end international brands such as Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior.
Rustan’s currently has five major department stores in the Philippines with a portfolio of international brands ranging from apparel, watches, beauty and personal care, luggage, footwear, and home items.
The company’s subsidiaries also include Stores Specialists Incorporated, Rustan Coffee, Adora, Santa Elena Realty, and Royal Duty-Free Stores.
