Following a two-month industrial action ceasefire which ended on December 1, the Maritime Union of Australia and Patrick Terminals have still not reached an agreement on pay, and resulting port delays, coupled with the impact of Covid-19 on supply chains, are having a far-reaching effect.  The backlog at Australian ports, predominantly on the East Coast, continues to grow every day as containers mount.
