Dan Murphy’s adds image search feature to its shopping app

Drinks retailer Endeavour Group has unveiled an image search feature that can identify more than 25,000 drink labels on its Dan Murphy’s app.

Endeavour group’s digital arm – EndeavourX – developed the UX-based functionality for about six months and shared a beta version with Dan Murphy’s team members in August for feedback.

“This is a great and simple way for customers to find more information about wine, beer or spirit they are enjoying at a restaurant or dinner party, and to see if it is available in their local Dan Murphy’s,” said Claire Smith, EndeavourX director.

Smith said the image search feature enables the customer to self-serve and access additional information and narrow down the options helping make a selection.

Customers can also now unlock Dan Murphy’s lowest liquor price guarantee feature as it makes it easier to compare prices using the app. The app is available for download at both Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
