Zara to launch first new-design store in Australia later this year

Spanish fashion house Zara will launch an Australia-first store design as part of the $800 million redevelopment of Perth’s Karrinyup Shopping Centre.

The store will feature the brand’s full range of fashion and accessories, as well as an urban design and will span one floor on the centre’s upcoming ‘Fashion Loop’.

“We know our customers are big fans of Zara, so we’re pleased to be able to deliver what they want to see at Karrinyup,” said AMP Capital’s Scott Nugent.

“The new look Karrinyup will be Perth’s leading fashion and lifestyle destination with an offering you won’t find anywhere else.”

The store is expected to open in late 2021, alongside Sephora, and will join H&M, Uniqlo and Mecca as part of the redevelopment, which was commenced in 2018 and will see Karrinyup double in size.

Upon completion the centre is expected to house around 290 stores, and sport a brand new entertainment and dining precinct, and will create around 2,500 new retail, support and management jobs.
