Two Adelaide entrepreneurs have rolled out a new on-the-go office concept called TaskPods to facilitate hybrid working across busy shopping centres, airports and transport hubs in the country.

The modular office pods are the brainchild of Adam Morgan and Tyson Gundersen who also founded the Australian modular office solutions company, Bureau Booths.

The orange and white cubes are soundproof and contain a desk and chair with access to secure Wi-Fi, a USB charging port and power points. Larger models can accommodate up to four people while some pods might have AV screens.

The pods can be accessed and located via an app and cost $15 an hour with 15-minute increments paid individually or via a subscription on a company account.

“We’ve designed TaskPods to be like stepping stones for hybrid workers so they can jump in and out of work wherever they may be,” said Morgan.

TaskPods can be found at Westfield Parramatta, Bondi Junction, Miranda and Pitt Street in NSW. In Melbourne, they have been opened at 206 Bourke Street, South Melbourne Central and The Glen Shopping Centre at Glen Waverley.

The duo is looking to expand this offering to hospitals, corporate foyers and other public spaces in its next phase.
