Arc’teryx launching Melbourne flagship store this month

Outdoor fashion retalier Arc’teryx  is opening its new flagship store on 15 December, located within Chadstone Shopping Centre and including a self-contained Veilance experience – Arc’teryx’s premier line of performance wear.

The new store, which is the brand’s second in Australia, will span across 166 square metres.

According to the brand’s ANZ commercial manager Dan Wojo, the demand for outdoor clothing has spiked since Covid-19 caused nationwide lockdowns – especially in Melbourne.

“A physical brand store is a more personal touch point that allows us to be a big part of the community,” Wojo said.

“With two stores in the region, it gives us additional resources to create activities and events that help create connections with outdoor and design enthusiasts.

“Covid-19 has highlighted how important spending time in nature is for creating positive mental health, which is an important part of Arc’teryx. This belief is becoming a core value of our ‘why’. It links straight into what will be our core message over the next few years, we call this ‘Outer Peace’.”

Melbourne-based mural artist George Rose will be featured on the front store window to celebrate the opening, using artwork that celebrates Melbourne’s flora and fauna.
