Luxury brand Maison de Sabre has partnered with Barneys New York to launch a limited-edition capsule collection.

The capsule, inspired by the New York cityscape and available in black and chrome colourways, is a throwback to Barneys advertising from the 1970s across the Maison de Sabre collection. It has the phrase “Don’t go to work today” printed across the phone case in silver mirror chrome and is finished with co-branded logos.

The colour scheme is carried over to a Mini Tote, which is a recreation of Barney’s shopping bag in full-grain European leather with Barneys New York emblazoned across the front panel. The Crossbody Phone Pouch completes the capsule with the Barneys x Maison de Sabre brand co-sign on the exterior, a silver chrome interior, and a classic style.

With a focus on premium materials and craftsmanship, the brand claims to have invested in manufacturing partners and procedures to develop products on par with some of the well-known luxury brands.

Founded in 2017 by brothers Omar and Zane Sabre, Maison de Sabre intends to disrupt luxury and become “the Hermes of Gen Z and Millennials”.

According to the brand, each Maison de Sabre design is crafted with premium leather and working processes that are committed to preserving water and supporting sustainable industry standards. All of the brand’s products are created using the DriTa method, the water-free leather-tanning process, with the leather sourced from Gold-Rated European tanneries, committed to the brand’s sustainability strategy.

The brand is currently trying to expand its presence in the Australian market, where its creators believe there is a significant opportunity to position it offer.
