Jax Tyres & Auto launches online vehicle tyre checks

Australia’s Jax Tyres & Auto has launched an industry-first initiative that offers remote video vehicle checks to customers while they stay at home.

The Jax Video Vehicle Checks is the latest in a broader range of customer-support initiatives from the business in response to Covid-19, including its Zero Service Contact.

Melbourne-based customers who are currently on Stage 4 lockdown, will be able to book and access these video checks via an enhanced website functionality on the company’s existing webchat-to-SMS service.

Technicians will then conduct remote visual inspections to offer expert mechanical and tyre information one-on-one.

The remote customer service boosts the company’s personalised digital experience offering and enhancing the capabilities of its e-commerce platform

“Jax Video Checks combines the best of what we do, our successful digital platform and our expert knowledge from our store teams, to offer them a greater level of support when they may need it most,” said Steve Grossrieder, CEO and executive director.

Those living more than 5km from the nearest Jax store can easily avail the service without risking their health.

The mechanical service provider is also providing support to Victorians a free Jax Vehicle Inspection and free pick-up and drop-offs at participating stores.

Jax Tyres & Auto has been operating since 1949 with more than 80 franchised stores in Australia specialising in the sale and service of tyres, wheels, brakes and suspension and vehicle safety checks.

“Giving our customers peace of mind about their vehicles is at the heart of what we do.”
