Zambrero names new COO

Brett Hannah - Zambrero COOMexican quick service restaurant franchise Zambrero has appointed Brett Hannah as its chief operating officer (COO).

Reporting to GM, Karim Messih, Hannah will be responsible for daily management of Zambrero’s national operations, building and, design teams. Franchisee management and new product development will also be important facets of his role.

Hannah has 22 years’ experience in Australian food retail, including opening more than 100 retail outlets for a number of brands. Zambrero currently has 82 restaurants in Australia with a further 10 scheduled for opening in the next two months.

He joins Zambrero from Gloria Jean’s Coffees, where he managed national franchise support and national projects. Prior to that he worked as operations manager for Baskin Robbins and was one of the team who launched Krispy Kreme in Australia.
